While it was great to have PC owners play a big Sony exclusive game last year, what wasn’t so great about it? Horizon Zero Dawns port was that it went like shit. Well five months later it looks a lot better.
While players were initially affected by everything from sluggish performance to textures not loading, a few patches since launch have fixed these issues. And now a version 1.10 promises to clean up most of the rest.
I can’t speak about it in person – my stuttering was fixed in an earlier patch – but a quick review of Reddit and forums shows that many players affected by issues that haven’t been fixed now have an improved experience.
That’s because v1.10 is a bigger and more comprehensive update than others. The result is that players “have sent their crash reports in the past few months”. with guerrilla say

That’s all well and good because the reason for this larger, more comprehensive patch is:

Let’s be clear, it sucks and was in bad shape that the game came out with so many problems, both for itself and as bad looks for future PlayStation ports. But a lot of games do that and never get fixed, so at least it did this!
