TikTok is stuffed with all sorts of filters that make the app a bit messier. Often they take off and inspire a massive trend. At the moment, one such trend is to use the AI manga filter to create an anime-style portrait of yourself. But there’s a twist: users hold bowls, cups — and sometimes even crumpled pillows — to their chests to “trick” the AI into creating a portrait with immense, powerful cleavage. And it works.
It is not only possible but also very easy to use round household items, even with unconventional breast enhancement items like toilet paper rolls. The audio clip associated with the trend has been streamed more than 8.3 million times on the app.
Unsurprisingly, tricking the filter is so easy. If you’ve followed reports of artificial intelligence generated art, you know that she has a penchant for sexualizing women. That said, some of the apps that use AI models like Stable Diffusion — Lensa AI’s magic avatars, for example — have generated NSFW images and nudes for people asking for awesome avatars, even if they don’t have NSFW images of themselves want yourself.
Because popular AI art generators like Stable Diffusion and DALL-E have been trained using Internet imagery, these AI models often reflect societal biases found online. Ergo, this AI TikTok filter sexualizes women.
The trend is not just limited to cleavage. Some users have added a bump to their rear end. And in my personal favorite take on the trend, someone held a four-piece waffle over their exposed stomach and the AI generated a character with washboard abs.
It’s also funny to see people trying to trick the filter only to get unintended results.
After watching tons of TikTokers how it works, I even tried it myself. I held two ball caps to myself, round parts over my chest. Lo and behold, it spawned a lustful flesh valley. It was stupidly easy and only took two tries. My cups are really overflowing.
Next: an AI that can correctly generate fingers.
