When Nintendo released its latest The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom trailer on Monday, it became increasingly clear how much the new game relates to the rest of the legendary franchise. Echoes of Wisdom will be released on Nintendo Switch on September 26th, but there is still a lot to analyze between now and that date.
Of the two different Zora together, something that has not been seen since The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Agesand the Bind ability, which is basically Ultrahand, Echoes of Wisdom attempts to capitalize on the franchise’s rich history to create a game that moves the series forward.
It is common for The Legend of Zelda games to use similar formats and reference each other, but here is what we noticed in Echoes of Wisdom.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
The most obvious comparison with Echoes of Wisdom is 2019 The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening — it has the same 3D look from above, depicting Hyrule and its people in an enchanting, playful art style. But Left Awakening is a remake of the original game from 1993 for Nintendo’s Game Boy system and Echoes of Wisdom is a completely new game with new ideas.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
As two of the newest Zelda games, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild And The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are still fresh in our minds – and probably also in the minds of Echoes of WisdomThe developers of. You can see influences of the two open-world games in the interface and menus of the new game: they are not exactly the same, but the core of the design is there. In addition, you can see the essence of those games – especially Tears of the Kingdom – In Echoes of Wisdom‘s gameplay. One of the core elements of Tears of the Kingdom
This seems to be the case with Echoes of Wisdomas well. Zelda’s Tri Rod allows her to use an ability called Echoes, which adds copies of objects or enemies to the world. You use these instead of a sword to fight and solve puzzles. Paired with the Bind ability, which essentially turns Ultrahand into Tears of the Kingdomthe number of solutions to be found seems endless.
Link can also be seen in the original Echoes of Wisdom Trailer wears a cape and uses a bow and sword with designs that, well, reflect the Zonai elements from Tears of the Kingdom. The Zonai ultimately played a major role in Tears of the Kingdom
Last, Echoes of Wisdom Used Breath of the Wild‘S And Tears of the Kingdom‘s naming conventions for several of its locations, such as using Eldin Volcano instead of Death Mountain from previous games.
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
There are two different types of Zora that exist in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, the 2001 Game Boy Color game: one type of Zora that lives in the river and another that lives in the sea. These two Zoras are in conflict with each other in Oracle of the Ages — and this conflict seems to continue in Echoes of wisdom.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
The Ganon that appears in Echoes of Wisdom looks very similar to Ganon from the 1991 Super Nintendo Entertainment System game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Pasta similar Ganon as in Oracle of the Ages. It is a pig-faced, blue Ganon with horned armor and a red cape. The weapon that Ganon uses in Echoes of Wisdom is a double-headed trident, not a single-headed one as in A connection to the past. Remarkable, There is a trident with two blades in Left Awakeningwhen Link fights the Shadow Nightmare.
