Lucasfilm Games, Dotemu and Limited Run Games bring Zombies ate my neighbors and its continuation, Ghoul patrol, on modern platforms this summer, the company announced Tuesday. The 16-bit games – especially the Super NES versions – will get new features for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on June 29, 2021.
Zombies ate my neighbors was originally published in 1993 by Konami for Sega Genesis and SNES. The top-down run and gun game plays Zeke and Julie battling zombies, vampires, Martians, mutated blobs and other monsters in more than 50 levels of Schlock horror science fiction action. Ghoul patrol
Both titles get modern features, including a quick save system, achievements and galleries behind the scenes of game art, and a video interview with the original Zombies ate my neighbors
Zombies ate my neighbors and Ghoul patrol will be available digitally as a bundle for $ 14.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop, PlayStation Store. Xbox Games Store, Steam and GOG.com. Limited Run Games will release physical editions of the games for “select modern and legacy platforms,” with details promised sometime this summer.
