The Spanish studio seems increasingly committed to its releases, whether due to the constant presence of its teams on the networks, as well as the quality of communication they have with the community and the way they take note of the problems or suggestions they have.
Many of those who read these lines will correctly associate the studio’s name with the Aeterna Noctis saga, a metroidvania that took the genre by storm with impressive quality and freshness. in its release, something he later achieved with Summun Aeterna, although perhaps to a lesser extent and which laid the foundations for Aeterna Lucis, a launch in full development and which was put on low heat to complete the work that brings us together today: Eden Genesis.
This episode changes the aesthetics of the studio’s previous games and moves us away from epic fantasy to take us into a totally cyberpunk environment where we will take control of Leah Anderson, a cyborg hacker whose brain modifications cause her to contract a mental illness known as syn thetic neurodegeneration or SND for its acronym in English, an illness that seems to extend more or less to all humans in this world.
While the outlook looks bleak for Leah, Free Your Mind offers her a solution that includes transplanting consciousness into a virtual environmentbut for this, the protagonist must pass a series of tests which, as you can imagine, are not simple at all.

If you have already enjoyed other games from the studio, perhaps you will not be so surprised by the animation style of the characters and backgrounds, hand-drawn, although I am already used to the work of the artists in this aspect, I must admit that continues to pleasantly surprise me.

That said, if you are not a fan of this type of game, the title is not the best entry point given the difficulty it presents and that the repeated attempts to overcome the marks to advance in the story can become repetitive and even become tedious at times.
