In any case, you may have noticed this already Aztech is a game that takes full advantage of its unconventional movement mechanics to create a unique and adrenaline-pumping experience that you will surely love, but will take some time to get used to. I’m here to speed up the learning process and have you flying around the city of Tenochtitlan, catching everyone’s eyes and scaring birds in no time!
Below are 10 tips to help you get the best out of everyone Aztech Forgotten Gods game session.
- 1 – Flying around like your favorite metal-armoured superhero or spiky-haired anime fighter is the essence of Aztechthe mechanics of movement. It may take some time to get used to, but a good way to get comfortable with the game’s movement – especially early on in the game – is to remember that while holding LB essentially controls the horizontal axis of movement. If you want to go forward, push the stick forward. If you want to go left or right, just push the stick left or right… How do you get up you ask? Just let go of the stick! If you press LB with no direction input, you get the altitude.
- 2 – Something that can really help with aerial maneuvers is Achtli’s Leap from the Air. If you are traveling at high speed and need to make a sharp turn or change direction abruptly, press the jump button (A). If you do this, your momentum will be instantly nullified and you’ll have a little time to think about your next move. The mid-air jump can be reset in a number of ways, such as: B. by wall jumping, using boost rings, grinding or just coming back to the ground.
- 3 – The Central Workshop is the best shop in town. Think of it as Achtli’s personal upgrade shop. You can trade Upgrade Coins to unlock various upgrades for your skills. Since each main mechanic draws energy from Lightkeeper’s reserves, you can’t go wrong by increasing the amount of energy available first.
- 4 – Aside from defeating bosses, there are a few ways to get your hands on Upgrade Coins if you fancy some grinding. As you hover around town, you’ll likely spot gangs of minions that will drop some coins when defeated. Whenever you see these groups, you might want to take some time to show them what’s going on. Additionally, as you level up the Jetpack Speed skill, side quests for races become much easier. These are great for earning coins.
- 5 – Always keep an eye on your health bar! You don’t want to go into a boss fight without a full bar. You can refill some of your health by pressing -Up- on the D-Pad. And if you need to refill the healing ability quickly, just defeat minions, this will reduce the cooldown!
- 6 – When fighting a boss, try to use high vantage points and stay in the air as much as possible. This is the easiest way to dodge attacks and avoid enemies. Remember, Achtli is most vulnerable when she’s standing idle on the ground.
- 7 – Every once in a while bosses use something we call “Supernova Attack”, a huge expanding energy field with holes in it. If you don’t make it to one of the holes in time, you can use the shield ability to block the incoming attack and escape unharmed.
- 8th – Well, that’s a big deal. The Charged Punch is extremely effective against bosses. Once unlocked, you should really try to attack bosses exclusively with Charged Punches by holding RT.
- 9 – Do you feel lost? Do not worry about it! Your destination always appears as a red marker on the mini-map. Still not sure where this marker is taking you? Well, you can always climb a nearby building and look for a glowing red beam of light in the sky to guide you to your destination.
- 10 – Does the game turn out to be a bit too challenging for what you expected? That’s totally fine, no judgments here. You can change the game’s difficulty and language settings at any time, even during gameplay. There is absolutely no penalty for this. It’s worth noting that there are no achievements linked to specific difficulty settings.
