Activate Chrome Google Reader on Android
Chrome has a built-in web feed, who is sort of a news manager and reader. This allows browser users to subscribe to the pages they are interested in, so that the browser will notify you of any changes. Google is now introducing more options, allowing you to subscribe, making the feed easier to read and eliminating the need to use third-party apps.
This allows you to have a Google Reader experience directly in your Android phone’s browser. This is an experimental feature, but we can activate it in our account. The steps to follow are:
- Open Chrome on your Android phone.
- Go to the address bar.
- Type chrome: // flags in this address bar.
- In the search engine on this screen, enter the web feed.
- Activate this function (set it to On).
- Click on relaunch to restart the browser.
With these steps we have activated this Google Reader in the browser on Android. This function will allow us to subscribe to web pages
This option will be displayed in your personal feed in Chrome, the one that appears when you open a new tab. Here we can see which web pages we have subscribed to and if there is any new news that they have posted. You won’t miss a thing this way.
