Filming for the second season of The Last of Us ended last week! And that can only be great news for the start of the next episodes.
If we can believe a job posting, serious things have begun for The Last of Us 3. In fact, Naughty Dog has vacancies to fill, including that of a lead gameplay animator. Whoever is ultimately chosen will have to “Designing animations for a variety of creatures”. The profile must also have a “Strong understanding of creature animation and mechanics”

After a very successful first season, the second season of The Last of Us is just around the corner. A success that also goes beyond the closed circle of fans of the video game license, seeking an audience foreign to Naughty Dog’s games. And what happens next is likely to be controversial, knowing the extent to which TLOU2 has received harsh criticism, some of which have been completely ridiculous. Some people even hated Abby’s character and harassed the teams, including Laura Bailey, who voiced her in the original version.
A hatred that had consequences, because Kaitlyin Dever, who plays Abby in the series “The Last of Us”, had to be closely monitored to avoid problems. “There are people who really hate Abby, who doesn’t exist. Remember, this is not a real person. That’s why Kaitlyn had to be specially protected by security during filming.” revealed Isabela Merced (Kay in Alien Romulus).
Finally, filming for the second season of The Last of Us was completed a few days ago and the teams were able to relieve the pressure. Catherine Goldschmidt, the cameraman, posted a photo on Instagram in which she took the time to thank the team. When is the release date? A big announcement could be coming soon. With this end of filming The series could return in early 2025, or April at the latest. But we are not safe from that. In a few weeks, on September 26, 2024, it will also be The Last of Us Day. An ideal event to talk again about the HBO show and why not broadcast a trailer with the date.
