Game news STALKER 2: Finally some good news for the Xbox Exclusive
The war in Ukraine continues to devastate the country and is obviously having a severe impact on the local population. Ukrainian developers are not spared from the situation, as are the GSC Game World teams behind the highly anticipated STALKER 2. While production has been suspended, today we have very good news regarding this future title.
GSC Game World back?
The Ukrainian people are in a critical situation today after the invasion of the country by Russia. The daily life of the country’s residents was turned upside down overnight, which logically affected various Ukrainian industries. Obviously, the video game industry was not spared while many studios temporarily closed their doors.
This was especially true for GSC Game World, who announced last March that the development of STALKER 2 would be put on hold indefinitely. Very little information about the game has been shared since then, with the exception of changing the title, a decision significant for the studio. And then nothing.
At least until today. If the war is still raging, GSC Game World just announced some news. And it’s fun to hear them. On the studio’s official discord, a community manager was able to share some information about the development of STALKER 2. First, we learn that the teams have resumed their work.
Some additional information
If this initial information excites fans who are firmly awaiting this new opus, the CM has also allowed itself some indiscretions regarding several features available in the game. In particular, during the various exchanges on Discord, we learn that several difficulty modes will be included and that it will be possible to customize your weapons in multiplayer. GSC Game World is therefore working again to bring us its game. Originally scheduled for December 8th, 2022 on Xbox Series and PC, STALKER 2 will undoubtedly postpone its release. We hope for news soon.
