highly anticipated release date street fighter 6 has been the subject of a lot of speculation, but it looks like we might finally be close to an official announcement.
The PlayStation Store appears to have released an early pre-order listing for the game, revealing three different versions that will be on sale, along with the game’s release date.
As spotted by ResetEra user Neoxon, it looks like Street Fighter VI will be released on June 2, which is certainly later than many of us hoped, into 2023. Neoxon took a screenshot of the PS Store listing, which we’ve embedded below.
We were already expecting the game to launch as early as April next year, so the June date isn’t a complete surprise. However, it does bring it closer to EVO and other fighting game tournaments than many in the competitive community would like.
Still, considering NetherRealm’s next game is AWOL, the only real competition to Street Fighter 6 will be Tekken 8–we don’t know when it’ll be released.
The good news is that the announcement will likely be made official during tonight’s 2022 Game Awards festivities – if not sooner, given that the store listing looks ready.
