The tactical shooter Rainbow Six: Siege is also on the road successfully in the sixth year since its release. This is one of the reasons why the next season with new content is now on the horizon.
With “Crystal Guard”, Ubisoft has now presented Season 3 in Year 6 of Rainbow Six: Siege in detail. So you can look forward to a new operator and a lot more.
The operator is Osa, a military engineer from Croatia. The attacker has a Talon-8 Clear Shield, a transparent and bulletproof shield that she can use on the floor, in door frames or in window frames. If necessary, she can move with the shield in her hands, albeit with certain restrictions (weapon not equipped, no sprint, no prone position). Osa is a medium speed, medium armor operator, armed with a 556 Xl or PDW9 as the primary weapon and the PMM as the secondary weapon.
In addition to the playable character, there are also other innovations. The “Bank”, “Coast” and “Clubhouse” maps were created from scratch to improve balancing, environmental degradation, sound propagation and lighting. “Crystal Guard” is also introducing numerous balancing adjustments to these maps, including the new bomb location 1F reception instead of 1F service entrance on the coast, and new locations and more entrances. As far as environmental degradation is concerned, there are new destructible walls and objects on the Bank and Coast cards: the railing on 2F Skyline on the Bank and the outer wall of the 2F VIP Lounge on the Coast.
Additional updates that come with “Crystal Guard” include:
-
Elite Customization: Players can now equip any headgear with an Elite Uniform if they have both and belong to the same Operator
-
Operator-Balancing (Twitch, IQ, Fuze, Mute)
-
Flash detection system
-
Adjustment of gadget damage
-
Armor revision
-
Edge lighting that highlights enemies to avoid unfair camouflage
The test server for “Crystal Guard” will be activated on August 17th, Osa will follow on August 18th.
