After Blizzard’s acquisition made headlines last year, it’s no surprise that the big Xbox & Bethesda Gaming Showcase is now also featuring news on some of their upcoming titles.
Not only was the launch of Overwatch 2 announced as a Free2Play title, there was also exciting news about Diablo 4: the fifth class of the always popular necromancer was revealed and the highly anticipated action role-playing game is scheduled for release in 2023.

Release period is fixed
At the end of the new gameplay trailer, it was revealed that Diablo 4 will eventually 2023 should appear. An exact date, let alone a quarter, is not yet available.
Neue Klasse: Nekromant
The fans had to wait a long time, now it’s certain: The fifth and final class in Diablo 4 will be the necromancer, which fans already know from Diablo 2, Diablo 3 and Diablo Immortal know – and even in Blizzard Moba Heroes of the Storm he is one of the playable heroes.
As always, fans can look forward to his well-known skills: Summon skeletons, explode corpses and shoot around with bone magic.

Tons of new gameplay info
In the new gameplay trailer, however, you get to see much more than just the release date: There is a brief look at the new character editor, which you can use for the first time to customize your heroes and heroines according to your own wishes.
Strongholds
A completely new feature are the Strongholdswhich were first shown in the trailer: These hostile areas that await you throughout the open world must be cleared of enemies, conquered and conquered.
It seems there is a special one waiting in every stronghold Bossgegner – in the trailer we see a fat demon dying in agony. If you have successfully cleaned the areas, they become friendly cities including merchants and craftsmen

Local Events
In addition, it becomes so-called Local Events, which you can also find everywhere in the open world: For example, you have to protect NPCs from monster attacks or slay a powerful world boss. Because Diablo 4 on a Shared Open World sets, it may well be that other human players will rush to your aid.
PvP Zones
Apropos Shared World: There will be special PvP zones in the game world where players can compete with each other. There should also be the opportunity to earn rewards and loot by killing other players.
Endgame-Infos
Last but not least, some content for the Endgame indicated in Diablo 4: After the end of the campaign, heaps of new dungeons, equipment and Paragon boards should be waiting for you.
Diablo 4 should not be Pay2Win, says Blizzard
After the release of Diablo Immortal, many players fear bad things for the next one right
serial part. However, officials have already given the all-clear: Adam Fletcher, the community lead for the Diablo series, promises a fair monetization model on Twitter:
D4 comes out as a full-price game developed exclusively for the PC/Console audience. The game is huge and there will be tons of content for all players after launch. The paid content consists of optional cosmetic items and eventually full expansions. We will be announcing more information soon!
