Telling Lies, a recurring FMV facilitator from the developer of His Story, arrives at the switchch and other comforts of Annapurna Interactive at the end of the month. Postponed to April 28, the game came out for PC and iOS last year for a great review and collected dozens of award nominations for its design and execution.
The game puts the laptop in front of you and allows you to search for scenes from the NSA domain. The player needs to process information by entering search terms, looking at clips of four different people and finding out what links them. As you get closer to details about the two-year period, new search terms and narratives appear.
His Story Founder Sam Barlow had a similar set that included staying in the virtual studio and streamlining data points that show growing stories. While that doesn't sound particularly appealing on paper, His Story was very effective at blasting your brain's brain centers and getting your adrenaline pumping. We'll be intrigued to see how this translates to consoles – look for updates closer to the April 28 release date.
Does the & # 39; FMV & # 39; s label scare you? Don't worry – if its Author surpasses anything, Telling Lies is miles away from the low-production and dodgy-compatible version from the days of CD-ROM. Are you happy with this? Played it on another platform? Let us know below.
