Umbrella Academy Season 3 Cast Photos, Teaser, Netflix Release Date Announced

The last season of Umbrella Academy debuted on Netflix in July 2020, which was approximately 800 years ago. Since then there have been rumors of the casting and hints of the plot of the third season, which would delve into an alternate timeline thanks to time travel hijinks and introduce a different group of Reginald children: Sparrow Academy.

But at SXSW 2022 showrunner Steve Blackman announced that Umbrella Academy

Along with the te aser, Netflix revealed the official synopsis of the season:

After putting an end to the 1963 doomsday, the Umbrella Academy returns to the present, confident that they prevented the initial apocalypse and repaired this godforsaken timeline once and for all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) the way they left them. Enter Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of ​​icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a fierce duel that proves to be the least of everyone’s worries. They must deal with challenges, losses and surprises of their own – and deal with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the universe (something they may have caused) – now all they have to do is convince Dad’s new, and possibly better, family to join them to help make amends for what their arrival did wrong. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or will this new world reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?

Umbrella Academy Season 3 reprises the cast of Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Ritu Arya, Adam Godley and Colm Feore. Justin Cornwall (Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey), Britne Oldford (Hunter), Jake Epstein (suits), Genesis Rodriguez (big hero 6) and Cazzie David. Also, Justin H. Min is back as Ben – but in the Sparrow version.
